End of an Era

I do not suffer fools gladly. After today, I am hoping to suffer one less fool.

People have a wide range of abilities. Some play great tennis (well done, Gallant Scot!), some grow great gardens, other are absolute whizzes at mathematics. There is even such a thing as a Polymath – someone who is a genius in several areas.

I try to do the best I can. But try as I can, I cannot find an appropriate term for someone who lacks talent in almost any area conceivable. Just what is the correct term for someone who is a legend in their own lunchtime? Whose only ability is to believe in themselves when all the evidence indicates otherwise. There were two on the most recent episode of the Apprentice. And the following day, I encountered a third! Is there some kind of epidemic on the loose? A Dunderhead Apocalypse?

Time to get out of Dodge.

See you soon.
