The Big USA holiday gets nearer and nearer. Less than 20 days to go as I type.
The USA Song Competition is getting real close. I have found nearly 60 songs that fit nicely on the trip. Actually, I found lots more, but some places are inundated with songs – California, for instance – and some are a bit thin on the ground. For example, how many popular tunes do you know, all about Fort Smith? See what I mean. (Fort Smith does have a claim to fame, but we’ll come to that in the trip blogs)
The research has turned up some true gems. Places that I never knew existed. And are not mentioned in the huge pile of Route 66 bumph that I have read. See the appropriate song clue for details …
