Apologies for the break in sending out the blogs. The Club de Soleil (like so many ‘classy’ resorts in the USA), has a crap WiFi arrangement. Cheap motels have fast (and often, free) WiFi, but the plush resorts have very limited facilities. And they cannot understand why anyone requires access to the Internet. They can’t understand my accent, either. Nil point there, resort concierge ladies!
So I am sitting here, in my car, because the only place they have WiFi is in the lounge. Which is closed. So I am parked outside their window. Fortunately, I am booked into a cheap motel before our flight home. I need the WiFi to book in my return flight.
US technology is somewhere behind Ethiopia. And some of the people we met on our trip, belong in caves. Thankfully, most US people are great. Unfortunately, not all …
Next time, I might take my iPad to an IHOP. They have free WiFi as you eat. Civilisation.
Will be posting more blogs soon. Providing my hand-carved aerial holds out!

Please permit me to apologize for the Wi-Fi difficulty you experienced at Club de Soleil on your recent visit. We have just signed an agreement with our local provider to wire all our guest units for Wi-Fi, and the project will commence soon. Telling you this now is a bit like IHOP saying it’s serving half-priced pancakes after you’ve already stuffed yourself, but I wanted you to know we’re working diligently to join the 20th century. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
David Renzi

Thank you for the comment. Considering it was posted just over 12 hours ago, I find it interesting that the Club de Soleil were able to read it, then reply so promptly.
Must I presume that the Club de Soleil monitor all usage of their limited WiFi service?
It would seem that security is a dubious factor here. Especially, as the system is broken, and anyone can log on without a password!
Back to you, Mr. Renzi.
