If you have been following the meanderings that comprise the beginning of ‘The College Bike’, then you may be advised to go back and re-read the chapter.
What began as one chapter, then two, has ended up being combined into one, longer chapter. The titles have been changed, a lots of little bits have been re-written.
It all makes a lot more sense (well, it does to me, anyway!)
I did warn you all. It’s a work in progress. Anyway, it means that I can now start on chapter 2. ‘Featherbed’. I can see the confused faces in the audience. Featherbed? Trust me, it will all make a bizarre kind of sense, eventually. And you will be able to bore your friends witless with your new-found appreciation of 60s motorcycles.
(note for our American friends … we will be discussing British motorcycles, not those 2-wheel tractors that seem popular in the USA)
Have been suffering from a chest infection for the past week. Nothing Nelson Mandela serious, but very debilitating on a hot summer’s day. Similar to drowning in glue. Good news is – I’m coughing much better now! On the road to recovery.
Have bought a new LED light bulb. One of the new high-power ones. Very good. Much better than those ‘energy saving’ ones that cost 10x the price, but last barely a year. The LED bulb is bright, can be used with a dimmer, comes on instantly, and saves energy. Bought it from Clas Ohlson. Not cheap but it claims to last 40 years (that is exactly what it says on the pack!). I look forward to taking it back in 35 years and claiming a refund, should it fail.
Back soon.
